I've been to PEI as well... beautiful! I live in Nova Scotia, we're almost neighbours 😀

I was in Halifax last summer with my daughter and really enjoyed it. We spent 3 weeks between New Brunswick (St. John), PEI, and Nova Scotia (Cape Breton, Halifax, Yarmouth). Fortunately we weren't too affected by the fires (but couldn't go hiking in the woods).
As for the answer, you say I'm really close.. maybe the Bay of Fundy between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick?
